Jackson is the largest township in Ocean County by land area, and it shows in the housing. Newer developments off Route 526 and Route 571 run big — four and five bedrooms, two-story foyers, finished basements, and more bathrooms than most homes on the barrier island have rooms.
That changes how we quote. A five-bedroom colonial in Jackson is not the same job as a five-bedroom anywhere near the water, and pricing it off bedroom count alone underestimates it every time. We look at bathrooms, levels, and floor type, because those three things drive the hours more than anything else.
The older parts of town — Cassville, Whitesville, and the properties out toward Prospertown — are a different job again: farmhouses and ranches on acreage, often with mudrooms, wood stoves, and pets that spend real time outdoors.
