Labor Day feels like the finish line for the Shore rental season, and in one sense it is — the relentless every-Saturday changeover grind eases up. But the season on Long Beach Island does not simply end that weekend. Fall weekend rentals, shoulder-season bookings and the eventual close-up of the house all still need to happen, just on a different rhythm.
From weekly to occasional
Where summer means a guaranteed Saturday slot on our turnover route, fall means a shorter list of scattered weekend bookings — long weekends, foliage-season visitors, the occasional last-minute rental. We still run turnover cleaning for these, just with more flexibility on timing since the volume has dropped.
The one thing that does not change
Guests booking a fall weekend on LBI still expect the same standard a July renter gets — a spotless bathroom and unmistakably fresh linens are not a summer-only bar. Fewer turnovers does not mean a lower standard on the ones that still happen.
Looking ahead to close-up
At some point this fall the house stops taking bookings for the year, and that is a different job entirely — see our seasonal deep cleaning page for what closing a Shore house down for winter actually involves.
Still have fall weekends booked? Get in touch and we will slot the turnovers in around whatever’s left on the calendar.
